Formulas won the "Bye Bye Microbeads” - Pioneer Award and Platinum Award ,issued by the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department

In September 2021, the Environmental Protection Department of Hong Kong officially launched the Voluntary Scheme for phasing out personal care and cosmetic products containing microbeads (PCCPs), including cooperation with the trade in implementing the “Bye Bye Microbeads” charter. Participants are encouraged to phase out rinse-off PCCPs containing microbeads in Hong Kong, so that consumers can make the right choice to buy microbead-free products, ultimately reducing the potential impact of micr

In the past two years, we have been participating in the Environmental Protection Agency's "Bye Bye Microbeads" charter action, committing to all products being free of microbeads and actively promoting environmental protection. After two years of hard work, Formulas stood out among 330 partner organizations and won the Pioneer Award and Platinum Award🏆. We would like to thank the awarding organization and all past guests who have supported us.

Cosmetics and personal care products, such as scrubs, lipsticks and toothpastes, are major sources of microbeads. Microgel beads can absorb and accumulate a large number of toxic substances (including flame retardants and dioxins), and the concentration can reach one million times that of similar substances absorbed by seawater. Microgel beads can block the esophagus or digestive system of fish, seabirds and other creatures, causing them to become malnourished or even die. 🐟🐠

In order to protect the environment and human health, all Formulas products do not contain microbeads. One of our most popular scrub masks: the enzyme exfoliating massage mask, which uses natural walnut shell powder. The particle size is only 200 mesh (equivalent to 0.074mm), which can gently remove dead skin and excess oil, reduce acne and inflammation, And it is biodegradable, so there is no fear of causing damage to the environment. 🌴
